Fender Bass man Tom Bonacquisti, who hails from the Rochester, N.Y., area, is an ex-L.A. session player. Tom has been playing the bass since he was 13 and throughout his life and during college Tom played in many and varied situations. During his L.A. session days he worked with jazz great Lee Ritenour, drummer Mike Rosen and Burt Summer in the musical production of “HAIR”.
Tom has also worked on the same venues and opening for national acts such as The Outlaws, Ray Charles, Roomful Of Blues and others. Tom's style is influenced by such greats as Roy Brown, Tommy Shannon and "Duck” Dunn of Booker T and the MG's fame. Tom's '57 vintage Fender P bass locks up the groove and puts that bottom “in your face.” After an 18-year hiatus to raise a family, Tom is back to play for us and we couldn't be more happy to have him.

Estel
Dillon has been playing drums
since childhood. Playing in bands throughout high school and
college, Estel spent a year studying jazz at North Texas State
University before graduating with a double major in communications
and music from Virginia Tech. He spent several years “on the road”
playing in hotels in nightclubs all over the United States with a
variety of groups: rock, jazz, big band, Broadway, supper club floor
shows and disco. Estel played with the Roanoke Symphony under the
baton of guest conductor Arthur Fiedler, he has backed up singer Vic
Damone and he was in jazz groups with notable guitarist Randy
Johnston, and with pianist Steve Kessler. One of Estel’s groups
appeared on the Dinah Shore TV show, another group performed in
Germany for six weeks on a USO tour.
After moving to the
Washington D.C.
area in the early eighties, Estel took a break from music to
concentrate on his career job at NBC News. In 1995, he got the music
bug again and began playing on the wedding band circuit, with groups
such as Legacy, Kaleidoscope, and entertainer Tom Saputo’s bands.
Estel’s influences include
Ringo
Starr, Buddy Rich, Billy Cobham, Ginger Baker, Tony Williams and all
of the other great drummers in music today and yesterday. Piece by
Piece represents a return to musical roots for Estel, and he looks
forward to lots of great music and great times with a rockin’ band!
